Thank you.

this morning….four sounds –
peepers,
the rumble of rails on track,
the train’s deep whistle,
and the clang-clang of the crossing-bell
in the distant dark--
and it reminded me
of the endless train of blessings
I received yesterday
from so many dear friends.

I was so grateful
that I could not sleep
for the joy.
